The "April 8th" Mountain Turning Festival is a traditional ethnic festival of the Kangding people. According to legend, Buddha was born on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month and bathed in the Nine Dragon Pool, hence it is also known as the "Bathing Buddha Festival". The Zhuanshan Festival has evolved over a long period of time and now incorporates more elements of hiking and tourism, as well as new content such as material exchange and cultural performances. The grand occasion of Kangding's "April 8th" mountain turning event has become well-known both domestically and internationally.

On this day, the Paomashan Scenic Area will offer free admission tickets.
