Mugecuo is a Tibetan term that means' wild man sea '. Legend has it that a couple fled their marriage in pursuit of holy love, avoiding opposition from their tribe. They were later discovered by hunters and mistaken for savages. Later, this blue sea was called the Savage Sea. Nowadays, it is not only an ideal place for tourism, fitness and scientific research, but also a destination for photography enthusiasts to create and for faithful men and women to witness love. Mugecuo is about 5000 meters long and 1500 meters wide, with a maximum depth of 70 meters and a water area of nearly 4 square kilometers. It has an elevation of 3780 meters and is one of the large plateau lakes in northwest Sichuan. Surrounded by mountains and meadows, the lake water is clear and level like a mirror. Reflecting the sky becoming deep and blue, giving people a sense of tranquility and relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
